Information We Process Because We Have A Contractual Obligation With You

Purpose of policy
This policy has been put in place to achieve the following aims:● To comply with the law, particularly the EU General Data Protection Regulation and with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA).

● To protect members, staff, and other individuals
● To protect the Simulated United States Air Force organization
Age Limitation Pilots must be a minimum 16 years of age in order to apply for membership and fly with SIMAF. If your VA/VSO allows people under the age of 16 you may need to get consent from the member’s parent/guardian concerning the data collection process.
Personal Data We Collect:
SIMAF collects the following personal data:● First name,

● Email address, Country and City,
● VATSIM ID,
● Additional items may need to be added to this list pursuant to the data collected by your website. Consent to Collect Data.
We collect information from you when you register for SIMAF, fill out a form, or submit any external information through a third-party application (i.e. submitting a PIREP). When registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, age, etc. You may, however, visit our site anonymously. By applying to SIMAF and using our site and services, you are giving SIMAF permission to collect personal data that will only be used by SIMAF. How We Use the Information We Collect: SIMAF uses your data for the purpose of conducting services offered by SIMAF such as but not limited to the participation as a SIMAF pilot, pilot certifications, pilot advancements, access to aircraft, scenery, and awards offered by SIMAF. Some of this data is also used in cookies. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your web browser [if you allow this] that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We use cookies to understand and save your preferences for future visits (i.e. keep you logged into the website). We may also contact you via email with announcements of upcoming events, and important information related to SIMAF. Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
● To maintain your status as an active pilot. Your information helps us establish and update your profile, as well as keep track of your progress and hours while flying for the virtual Special Operations.
● To personalize your experience. Your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs.
● To improve our website. We continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.
● To improve our operations. Your information helps us to effectively streamline our operations as a Virtual Special Operations group.
● To administer a contest or promotion or run an event such as those conducted on the VATSIM network.
● To send periodic emails. The e-mail address you provide may be used to send you information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.
Data Retention:
SIMAF will not retain your data after you have been deleted from our Pilot Rosters. You may terminate your membership and therefore delete your data at any time by contacting us and requesting to terminate your SIMAF account.Personal Information Distribution:
We do not and never sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties any of your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third party software who assist us in operating our website or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.Transparency and Choice:

Job Application And Employment
If you wish to be a part of Simulated United States Air Force and decide to send us information in connection with a job application, we may keep it for up to one year in case we decide to contact you at a later date.
If we employ you, we collect information about you and your work from time to time
throughout the period of your employment.
This information will be used only for purposes directly relevant to your employment.
After your employment has ended, we will keep your file for one year before
destroying or deleting it.
Complaints Regarding Content On Our Website
You are always welcomed to share your content such as : Scenery, Livries, Study Material
(to conduct specific approaches, etc).
We are committed to moderate user submitted content, but if there is any complaint from a user
/ organisation
to take down the content contributed by you, given that the complaint has a valid reason
we may choose to delete the content without prior information.
If you complain about any of the content on our website, we shall investigate your complaint.
If we feel it is justified or if we believe the law requires us to do so, we shall remove the content while we investigate.
If we think your complaint is vexatious or without any basis, we shall not correspond with you about it.

Removal Of Your Account
At anytime, if you wish to no longer be a member of our organisation, you may choose to delete your pilot account. Please note that this process is not reversible and you will be blocked from sending an application again to join with us.
Verification Of Your Information
We are committed to protect your information and grant access to that information ONLY to you. In ensuring that, we urge the use of verifications which require you to have access to the E-mail ID which you used at the time of siging up with us.
This process cannot be done via iMail and requires you to have a valid email.
Encryption Of Data Sent Between Us
We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates to verify our identity to your browser and to encrypt any data you give us.
